🌿 Vegan Detox Retreat: Eat, Rest, and Reconnect with Nature
Step away from the rush of the city and sink into a weekend of clean food, mindful rest, and quiet connection with the rhythms of northern Thailand.
At Little Forest, every meal is made from local plants and herbs that naturally support detox and balance. We cook together, eat together, and share stories around the table under the trees.
You can join for the full 4-day program (Friday to Monday) or come for just one or two days. Each day offers something simple and nourishing: movement, food, craft, and rest, designed to help you slow down and reconnect with yourself and the land.
Friday, 10 October
Arrive after noon and settle in. We’ll begin with our first shared meal.
Lunch: Vegan Som Tam (green papaya salad) and Pad Thai
Afternoon: Visit the local market, then return to cook together: bamboo shoot curry with Yanang leaves, pomelo salad with roasted coconut, and steamed banana blossom in red curry paste.
Evening: Group meditation under the stars.
Saturday, 11 October
Aunty Orn starts the morning with warm mint tea to gently awaken digestion.
Join a quiet walk around the rice fields (bring walking shoes).
Breakfast: Vegetable soup, Nam Prik Noom, sticky rice, and pumpkin–tofu stir-fry with basil, cooked together in the open kitchen.
Workshop: Hand-weaving Sad-Yang, a small seat for daily use in meditation or work.
Lunch: Pineapple fried rice, local vegetable soup, and seasonal fruit.
Evening: Steamed tofu with ginger and mixed vegetable stew, followed by group meditation.
Sunday, 12 October
Start the day with mint tea and a gentle morning yoga session focused on the breath.
Breakfast: Bitter melon soup, tamarind leaf chili paste, grilled mushrooms, and a detox juice of lettuce, celery, radish, tomato, lime, and young coconut.
Lunch: Glass noodle salad and wonton soup.
Workshop: Herbal steam, herbal bath, and Salt Pot Therapy (Thap Mor Kluea), a self-care ritual for both men and women.
Dinner: Grilled eggplant salad and vegan hotpot (Jim Jum).
There is no group meditation tonight, but you are welcome to practice individually.
Monday, 13 October
Morning mint tea and a peaceful walk to close the retreat.
Breakfast: Whole grain porridge, bitter melon soup, and mixed vegetable juice.
Farewell Lunch: Spicy mushroom salad and grilled rice crackers.
We end the retreat as we began, in community, surrounded by nature, feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected.
